Biodiversity in Ontario’s Greenbelt
This report highlights past conservation of natural and farmland area as a product of biodiversity protection in 2005. It is bringing forth new and ongoing threats to land preservation as development pressures in the Greater Toronto Area (GTA) ensue, bringing ‘old’ policies into question. The report recommends the need to strengthen policies to address the concerns.
