A recording is now available of the June 14th Knowledge Sharing Event on School Food Financing and Fundraising in Ontario, hosted by the Ontario Chapter of the Coalition for Healthy School Food (chaired by Sustain Ontario).

The event started with a quick update from the Coordinators of the Ontario Chapter, who shared information relating to provincial and national developments (slides here).

We then heard from the following speakers, who shared different ways that they are financing and fundraising for school food programs:

Carrie Van Wynsberghe (Child Nutrition Network of Haldimand Norfolk REACH) – see slides
Andrew Fleet (Growing Chefs! Ontario, The Beet Café) – see slides

After the presentations, participants joined breakout groups to identify questions and other ideas, then came back for a group discussion including how participants are funding and fundraising for their programs.
