This year’s Local Food Week is June 5-11, 2023

To celebrate, we hope you’ll show the love for Ontario food by buying and eating local!

At BuyLocalFoodAcrossOntario.ca, you’ll find buy-local initiatives and farm fresh maps categorized by region: Northwestern Ontario, Northeastern Ontario, Central Ontario, Eastern Ontario, Southwestern Ontario, and the Golden Horseshoe.

The first Monday in June marks the start of Local Food Week each year, as part of the province’s Local Food Act, with the following purposes:

To foster successful and resilient local food economies and systems throughout Ontario.
To increase awareness of local food in Ontario, including the diversity of local food.
To encourage the development of new markets for local food.

Ultimately, it’s a celebration of the bounty of fresh, healthy food grown, produced and processed right here in Ontario — and all those working hard to make it happen.
