School Food Financing & Fundraising – a Knowledge Sharing Event

Join school food program providers from across Ontario for an online knowledge-sharing event hosted by the Ontario Chapter of the Coalition for Healthy School Food (chaired by Sustain Ontario) on Wednesday, June 14, from 10:30 – 11:45 a.m. ET.
The event will start with a quick update from the Coordinators of the Ontario Chapter of the Coalition for Healthy School Food, who will share some information relating to provincial and national developments on school food.
The following speakers will then share different ways that they are financing and fundraising for school food programs:
- Carrie Van Wynsberghe (Child Nutrition Network of Haldimand Norfolk REACH)
- Growing Chefs! Ontario – (The Beet Café)
- Danielle Findlay and Robin Tetreault (Ontario Student Nutrition Program Southwest Region)
After the presentations, participants will breakout into small groups to identify any questions and other ideas, before coming back to a group discussion. Participants are welcome to share their approaches to financing and fundraising to add insights and ideas to the discussion!
