Community Food Centres Canada (CFCC) is currently accepting applications for new Market Greens partners.

Market Greens is a CFCC program that increases affordable access to nutritious fresh fruits and vegetables. The program aims to promote health and reduce diet-related disease risk, particularly for communities with greater barriers to healthy food access.

Market Greens grants support organizations to offer targeted produce prescriptions that can be redeemed at existing low-cost community markets, or new low-cost markets established under the grant; and, to contribute to the evidence on the impacts of healthy food access through program monitoring and evaluation.

There are two grant streams:

New Market and Produce Subsidies Grant ($70,000 over 2 years)
Produce Subsidies Grant (at an existing market) ($20,000 over 2 years)
