The National Farmers Union-Ontario and Ontario Farmland Trust are hosting an upcoming workshop series for farmers and aspiring farmers of all ages and career stages, Land-Linking and Farmland Conservation.

There will be three workshops in the series:

  1. Farm Financing & Business Planning on Thursday, October 28, from 7 – 9 p.m
  2. BIPOC Land Opportunities on Thursday, November 4, from 7 – 9 p.m
  3. Land Partnerships & Collaboration on Thursday, November 11, from 7 – 9 p.m

In this series, attendees will learn about:

  • Succession models, including non-family succession and cooperatives.
  • Farmland conservation options, including Conservation Easements and Land Trusts.
  • Support and resources for new farmers.

The series will offer networking opportunities for:

  • Young and aspiring farmers seeking land.
  • Established or retiring farmers in search of successors or farmland tenants.
  • Rural landowners with farmland to rent, share, or protect.

All workshops are free to attend and will be held online.
