The Bauta Family Initiative on Canadian Seed Security is hosting a 2021 seed webinar series on seed security in Canada, with support from SeedChange, the Ecological Farmers Association of Ontario, Organic Alberta, FarmFolk CityFolk, and the Atlantic Canadian Organic Regional Network.

“The global pandemic has shown that stewardship of seed and innovation in plant breeding have never been more important to support Canada’s seed security,” Bauta shares. “Our 2021 webinar series will explore how farmers and plant breeders are working to save and improve important Canadian crop varieties, as well as the regional seed systems that make those varieties available for the benefit of all Canadians.”
