Registration is open for the Ignatius New Farmer Training Program, a collaboration between the Ecological Farmers Association of Ontario (EFAO), Everdale and the Ignatius Jesuit Centre.

The program provides participants with critical information to start their farm, meet other new and experienced farmers, and become a part of Ontario’s ecological agricultural community.

Educational content is geared toward new farmers, but is open to all farmers who might be curious about a certain topic, wishing to expand their farming knowledge, or in need of a refresh.

This year’s program will take place online through webinars and virtual field days.

Term 1 is focusing on establishing a foundation of knowledge and language for basic farm work. Term 2 will focus on applying farm language and knowledge. Those interested can register for a whole term, or choose individual sessions.

Learn more and register on the EFAO website, where details for Terms 3 and 4 will soon be posted.
