Ecosource is currently hiring a Community Gardens Facilitator, a Community Gardens Communication Assistant and an Urban Agriculture Assistant for 2021 contract positions.
The Community Gardens Facilitator will support access to food growing spaces for residents at community garden sites across the City of Mississauga. The facilitator will support garden monitoring and maintenance, gardener and volunteer engagement onsite, food production, and the opening of new garden sites. The Community Gardens Communication Assistant will support access to food growing spaces for residents at community garden sites across the City of Mississauga. The communication assistant will support communication with gardeners, volunteers, and community partners. The successful candidate will assist with the administration of the community gardens program by assisting administrative tasks for garden monitoring, maintenance, and food production. The Urban Agriculture Assistant will support food access for Mississauga residents through the production of local organic food.
