The Durham Food Policy Council (DFPC) is hosting a virtual symposium, How Do You Measure a Food System?, on Thursday, April 22, from 1 – 3:30 p.m. EDT.

The symposium will bring food system stakeholders together to raise awareness and begin envisioning the content and use of a Food System Report Card for Durham Region. The DFPC is exploring the creation of a Food System Report Card that would track key indicators of the health of Durham’s food system.

The event will include a keynote address by food system scholar and practitioner Phil Mount (Sustain Ontario’s Board Chair), a presentation of DFPC’s report card research findings, recommendations related to the Food System Report Card project, and a breakout activity to brainstorm and collect feedback.
