Dietitians for Food Justice is a group of dietitians, interns, and students dedicated to addressing food injustice through advocacy, education, social action, and policy change.

For Nutrition Month, they are aiming to highlight the connection between health equity and nutrition, specifically by hosting an online campaign exploring how racism manifests within our food systems. Their theme for this month is Racial Justice is Food Justice.

Each week they will be highlighting the experiences of different groups of BIPOC community members. The topics to be explored include:

  • Week 1: Black food justice
  • Week 2: Indigenous food sovereignty
  • Week 3: Food security of refugees, immigrants, and newcomers
  • Week 4: Food justice for food workers

Throughout March, they will be highlighting organizations to support, petitions to sign, and other important calls to action.
