The Northern Ontario Farm Innovation Alliance, Collège Boréal, the University of Guelph, the Greater Sudbury Food Policy Council and the Rural Agri-Innovation Network have collaborated to study the challenges and opportunities agri-businesses in Northern Ontario are facing as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic.

The research team has created a survey to help identify and respond to the emerging needs of these agri-businesses in the north. The results will allow the partner organizations to support production, distribution and marketing activities during the pandemic and to provide evidence-based recommendations for agri-businesses and policymakers in the future and enhance supports in the long-term.
