The UNICEF Toronto Group is hosting a webinar event looking at food insecurity and COVID-19 on Friday, June 5, 2020, from 5:30 to 7 p.m. EST, with a fundraiser for UNICEF beginning 24 hours before the event.

Webinar speakers will share their insights:

  • Fatima Saleem and Ashar Siddiqui, Co-founders of Zero Waste Canada
  • Jess Schellenberg, Meal Exchange Good Food Campus Lead
  • Gurneet Dhami, Food Security Certificate from Ryerson & student leader with MSVU Meal Exchange Chapter
  • Pooja Dey, HBSc Candidate at the University of Toronto, Research volunteer for the Upstream Lab focusing on social resources for COVID-19
  • Leah Davidson, Former UN Youth Ambassador and founder of the food rescue program through Door Dash
