A new pan-Canadian network has been launched, the Food Communities Network, which will offer a space for online discussions to share municipal and community-wide responses to COVID-19. The Network is a project on Tides Canada’s shared platform.

The Network’s website shares:

“While the network was already meant to launch this month, the question of food is of immediate increased concern in COVID-19 times. Many of us have expressed the desire to exchange with other municipalities and communities on this subject. That is why our first action as the Food Communities Network will be to collate Municipal and Community-wide Food Responses to COVID-19 and to facilitate online discussions that create space for you to share and learn from each other.”

Once signed up for the Network, you’ll receive newsletters, webinar invitations, and opportunities to connect with other municipalities and communities across Canada.

Those who sign up will also receive an email to join an Online Discussion on Municipal and Community-Wide Food Responses to COVID-19, taking place on Thursday, April 2, from 12 p.m. – 1 p.m. EST in English, and on Friday, April 3, from 12 p.m. – 1 p.m. EST in French.
