Happy New Year! 2020 Farm to School Canada Grants are officially here, with Farm to Cafeteria Canada (F2CC) and the Whole Kids Foundation (WKF) now accepting applications until March 27, 2020.

For the first time, applications are open to all schools—kindergarten to grade 12—across Canada’s 10 provinces and 3 territories.

Delivered directly to schools, the grants are designed to bring more of the local harvest into schools where it is featured in a salad bar meal service. The goal is to get more students and school communities engaged in growing, purchasing, harvesting, cooking, serving, learning about and eating healthy, local and sustainable foods at school.

As a reminder, F2CC has provided Grant Guidelines to help guide applicants through the application process, as well as instructional grant webinars that are coming up in English on Tuesday, January 28, and in French on Thursday, January 30.

Successful applicants will be eligible to receive up to a maximum of $10,000 each, and will be notified on May 15, 2020.

Since 2016, F2CC and the WKF have brought Farm to School to 91 schools and more than 35,000 K-12 students in 5 provinces! Sustain Ontario is delighted to be the Ontario partner in delivering the Ontario-based grants.
