Nourish, in partnership with the Ontario Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs and with support from Kingston Economic Development, is hosting a free workshop on New Tools for Sustainable Local Food Procurement: Values Into Practice on Friday, November 15 in Kingston.

The event will be of interest to food buyers, growers, producers, and economic development officers.

From the Eventbrite page:

Nourish is a nation-wide network of innovators in institutional food service. One of the projects that Nourish has been working on, is creating buying tools that incorporate social, environmental and economic sustainability into the calculation for the institutional procurement of local foods. They will be introducing Forward Food Contracting and Negotiated Request For Proposal, and providing a hands-on introduction to the tools and how to use them, as well as sharing successes.”
