Farm to Cafeteria Canada (F2CC), in partnership with the Whole Kids Foundation (WKF), have announced details of the third round of Farm to School Canada Grants, with applications opening January 1, 2020!

For the first time, applications are open to all schools—kindergarten to grade 12—across Canada’s 10 provinces and 3 territories.

Delivered directly to schools, the grants are designed to bring more of the local harvest into schools where it is featured in a salad bar meal service. The goal is to get more students and school communities engaged in growing, purchasing, harvesting, cooking, serving, learning about and eating healthy, local and sustainable foods at school.

The maximum amount of funding available per school is $10,000. There will be 30 salad bar grants available in this round.

Since 2016, F2CC and the WKF have brought Farm to School to 91 schools and more than 35,000 K-12 students in 5 provinces.
