Do you want to learn more about Agricultural Advisory Committees?

This Thursday, May 23, join Dr. Sara Epp, a Sessional Lecturer at the University of Guelph, for a webinar that will explore the structure, mandate, membership and experiences of Agricultural Advisory Committees (AACs).

Findings from a recently released report by the Friends of the Greenbelt Foundation and the Golden Horseshoe Food and Farming Alliance will be highlighted.

The report explains that while farmers make up less than 2% of Ontario’s population, and thus their political influence may be limited, AACs provide an important agricultural lens to local policies, plans and processes.

The lessons learned can be utilized by existing AACs, as well as regions and counties interested in establishing an AAC.
