Whole Village is hosting an event at their farm in Alton this Saturday, May 18, Biochar: Climate Change Reversal, with guest speakers Albert Bates and Kathleen Draper.

Albert Bates is a retired public interest attorney and author of more than a dozen books on energy, environment and history, including two on Biochar. Albert has been director of the Global Village Institute for Appropriate Technology since 1984.

Kathleen Draper is a board member of the International Biochar Initiative and the US Director of the Ithaka Institute for Carbon Intelligence. Kathleen co-authored “Burn: Using Fire to Cool the Earth” with Albert Bates.
