Sustain Ontario is thrilled to congratulate and announce this year’s 2019 Bring Food Home regional event hosts & themes:

  • FoodShare (Toronto) — Food Justice: Dismantling Racism in the Food Movement
  • Ratinenhayén:thos (Mohawk Territory) — Seed Saving: Sharing the Art at the Kenhtè:ke Seed Sanctuary and Learning Centre
  • Thunder Bay and Area Food Strategy (Thunder Bay) — Northern Food Sovereignty
  • Algoma / RAIN & Just Food (Virtual gathering) — Canada’s Food Guide: Reconciling Food Security, Sustainable Diets and Agriculture

We would like to extend a sincere thank you to everyone who submitted a proposal for this year’s Bring Food Home regional events.

We had a significant response, with 19 strong proposals from across the province. Unfortunately, we only have the capacity to fund a handful of events, but look forward to future collaboration with all those who expressed interest in hosting an event this year.

The 2019 Bring Food Home event themes address a wide variety of important topics that we think you will find informative, engaging and pertinent to our province’s regional food systems.

Stay tuned for more information on each regional event, and as always, stay connected with us on our blog, Facebook and Twitter.
