Join Green Thumbs Growing Kids for their annual celebration of the beginning of a new gardening season, Spring is in the Air, this Sunday, April 28, from 1 – 4 p.m. at the Allan Gardens Children’s Conservatory in Toronto.

The free event brings together local residents from the surrounding community to celebrate the season and enjoy a variety of activities including:

  •  a plant sale
  • a silent auction
  • music & crafts for kids
  • a book launch – Grow Without a Garden: 101 Plants for Containers by Lara Lucretia
  • community information about Green Thumbs programming

Green Thumbs offers food growing and environmental education programs in 4 inner-city schools and 2 park sites. Their programs take place in the east downtown Toronto neighbourhoods of St. James Town, Cabbagetown, and Regent Park.
