Ontario and the federal government have announced that between March 22, 2019, and May 6, 2019, farmers and other businesses will be able to once again apply for support under the Canadian Agricultural Partnership for projects to boost innovation, economic development, environmental stewardship and food safety.

“The Canadian Agricultural Partnership is our commitment to farmers, processors and agri-food businesses that strategic funding for key initiatives will be there to help them grow, innovate, and prosper,” said Lawrence MacAulay, Federal Minister of Agriculture and Agri-Food. “Our Government is proud to support this strong and competitive sector as it continues to create well-paying middle class jobs for Canadians and meet the world’s growing demand for its high-quality products.”

More information will be available on the Ontario Soil and Crop Improvement Association website here and the Ontario Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs (OMAFRA) website here by March 8, 2019.

Cost-share funding under the Partnership is merit-based and project funding amounts are individually established based on project types.

Program guides will be available at www.ontarioprogramguides.net.

Applicants will be able submit applications online at www.ontarioprograms.net.
