The Nutrition Resource Center (NRC) is hosting a webinar on Food Literacy Strategies and Interventions: What are the barriers to implementation? on Thursday, March 7, 2019, from 12 p.m. – 1 p.m. EST.

From NRC:

“As interest in food literacy grows, public health and education research has expanded to explore its conceptualizations, attributes, and measurement. However, less is known about its implementation and the range of factors that might promote or prevent food literacy’s uptake. An improved understanding of these factors is key to developing and evaluating impactful educational interventions that will empower individuals to make informed choices about food and nutrition.”

Hosted by Emily Truman, a postdoctoral scholar in Communication & Health at the University of Calgary, this webinar will explore food literacy and the barriers to its implementation in order to improve the promotion of food literacy skills at an individual, school, and community level.

Registration is free for Ontario residents, and $15.00 + $1.92 for residents outside of the province.
