Sustain Ontario is bringing a new format to this year’s Bring Food Home conference in Fall 2019. Rather than a single, multiple day event, we are aiming for 4-6 single-day regional events, each with a theme that resonates for folks in your region.

And that’s where you come in.

We are looking for your input and are now accepting proposals for this year’s events. To support collaborative initiatives across the province, we are looking for proposals that identify goals for the event, a clear theme, why it’s relevant in your region, and why it should be one of the Bring Food Home 2019 events.

Bring Food Home aims to unite food system players including buyers, producers, harvesters, planners, organizers, councils, grassroots food groups and individuals, and dreamers to share successes, gain skills, and work together to create food systems that support the health and wellbeing of all people in Ontario, through collaborative action.

Each regional meeting host will receive a grant of between $4000-$5000 courtesy of Whole Foods Market.

To be considered, please email info@sustainontario.com with your proposal of 300-350 words by March 15th with the following information:

  • A central theme, which will be the focus of your regional meeting—and why this is important for your region and the province
  • How you plan to conduct outreach and share outputs, learnings, best practices, etc.
  • A budget for funds and how they will be allocated
  • Any committed and potential partners (including funding partners) who will help to support your meeting

We look forward to hearing from you!
