The first webinar in a two-part series on Roots to Harvest’s Forest Meets Farm school food pilot project was held on October 30, 2018, and you can now view a recording of the webinar (also below) and download the webinar slides.

Be sure to register for the second webinar in this series taking place on Thursday, December 6 at 3:15 pm EST — Forest Meets Farm: Evaluation Findings and Toolkit.

This first webinar provided a project, curriculum and evaluation overview as well as some midpoint reflections.  If you’d like to skip to a specific section of the webinar, here are the themes that were covered:

7:35 — Project Overview

10:24 — About the Curriculum

23:36 — Project Evaluation

26:45 — Reflections

The second webinar will offer more detailed evaluation findings and the presentation of an adaptable Forest Meets Farm Recipe Book/Toolkit.

The ‘Forest Meets Farm’ pilot project has students in four Thunder Bay high schools exploring a variety of locally produced and wild foraged food sources in order to strengthen knowledge, skills and attitudes around their methods of production, harvesting, preparation and consumption. Learn more.
