Urban Agriculture Coordinator

The Urban Agriculture Coordinator will focus on supporting the food growing of three community food-growing spaces, centred on the development and sustaining of the Milky Way Urban Agriculture and Community Hub. The Coordinator will work with community members and leaders on weekly programming and workshops. This includes facilitation of workshops, training, volunteers and participants in sustainable food growing practices. The ideal candidate will have skills in seed saving, composting, food growing, harvesting – with market garden skills as an asset.

Community Cooking Coordinator

The Greenest City Community Cooking Coordinator will focus on supporting development and implementation of a full range of healthy cooking and preserving workshops centred on the Milky Way Urban Agriculture and Community Hub – with a priority on children and young people. In addition, the community chef will work with the community to implement potlucks, weekly community meals, and celebrations during the outdoor growing season with the team at Greenest City. The ideal candidate will have a range of skills in cooking and preserving.

Parkdale Sewing Repair Hub Communications and Outreach

This position will support the recruitment and retention of participants and volunteers in the new Parkdale Sewing Repair Hub, a joint project of the City of Toronto, Greenest City and Creative Reuse Toronto.
