Are you a farm and food enterprise, community investor, or local food advocate? Your feedback is wanted at the Fair Finance Fund Forum in Puslinch on Thursday, October 18, from 4-7 p.m.

Local Food and Farm Co-ops (LFFC), Rural Agri-Innovation Network (RAIN), and a division of Sault Ste. Marie Innovation Centre (SSMIC) launched the Fair Finance Fund to support the local food and farm sector across Ontario.

The Fund will support social enterprises that have explicit values in local food systems, local economies, and the planet. This loan fund will build on seed capital to implement an ongoing investment opportunity for community-minded investors to support food that is grown, raised and processed in their own backyards.

During the forum, more information on the progress of the fund will be shared, and feedback is welcome from all stakeholders engaged in the local food and farm space. This event will be one of four forums throughout Ontario this fall – stay tuned for more information.

Forum partner Ecological Farmers of Ontario will also be there to provide their insights on the local food and farm sector within the region.

The event is taking place at the Badenoch Community Centre, 4217 Watson Road South, Puslinch.
