Evergreen is looking for volunteers to join their new Compost Crew at the Brick Works (550 Bayview Avenue) to help advance their waste management initiatives and educate others about the importance of composting.

Volunteers on the team will be supporting a variety of onsite compost initiatives including vermicomposting, compost systems maintenance, and engaging with the public as educators/ambassadors.

Volunteers will be asked to commit to a minimum of two volunteer shifts per month from May –September 2018.

They’re looking to recruit volunteers who are:

    • Passionate about composting, urban agriculture and/or waste management, or interested in learning more
    • Concerned about soil depletion and keen to help grow healthy soil
    • Feel comfortable working with food scraps and literally getting their hands dirty.
    • Interested in public engagement, compost systems maintenance, and/or education is an asset

    The application deadline is Monday, May 28th.
