The event will be held in Athens – East, Ironwood Organics 446 Lower Oak Leaf Road on Thursday July 13, 2017 at 1:30 pm- 4:30 pm. Get your tickets for the event here! Below is a more detailed description of the event from their website:

Chris Wooding farms landrace cereals in eastern Ontario. Having grown steadily for the past 10 years, Ironwood Organics now consists of 170 acres, and includes small-scale production of heritage wheat, oats, rye, buckwheat, and barley.  In addition to stone ground flour and rolled oats, they also supply their own grains to Gananoque Brewing Company and Dominion City Brewing. The farm is further diversified with a small hops yard, a vegetable CSA, nut orchard, top bar bees and some forest permaculture. This year they have added to their full plate to join The Bauta Family Initiative’s participatory plant breeding program on wheat, oats, and potatoes. Come for a visit on this truly innovative organic farm and learn how to grow diversified heritage grains for your farm and develop new varieties of organic grains.

This event is generously funded by the Bauta Family Initiative on Canadian Seed Security.
