Ontario-logo-prov-squareThe Ontario Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs invites applications for the 2016 Premier’s Award for Agri-Food Innovation Excellence which recognizes outstanding agri-food related innovation of producers, processors and organizations.

We know that Sustain Ontario members are among the best innovators in Ontario’s agri-food sector, leading the way in improving business practices, responding to consumer demand, protecting the environment, and contributing to greater health, food safety, and food literacy.  These are the type of innovations the Premier’s Award seeks to recognize.

Annual program awards include:

  • 45 provincial award recipients with a cash prize of $5,000 each
  • three Leaders in Innovation awards of $25,000 each
  • the Minister’s Award of $50,000
  • the Premier’s Award of $75,000

Winners of the 2016 awards will be recognized at events across the Ontario.

Past recipients include Sustain Ontario members Y U Ranch, FoodShare, FarmStart, and former member, Everdale.
