Food waste is a focus issue for Sustain Ontario and many of its members.  Here’s a great opportunity to learn more when the Ontario Public Health Association screens Just Eat It – A Food Waste Storyon April 6 at the William Doo Auditorium, New College Residence, University of Toronto.

The film will begin at 7 pm, following a welcome and introduction at 6:45 pm.  The evening will wrap up with a panel discussion featuring experts and “champions of the cause” and informal reception.

Just Eat It looks at our systemic obsession with expiry dates, perfect produce and portion sizes, and reveals the core of this seemingly insignificant issue that is having devastating consequences around the globe. Filmmaker Jen and Grant have presented the issue of food waste from farm, through retail, all the way to the back of their own fridge.

Tickets are available now! This is a charity event and all ticket holders will receive a FREE ticket to the Green Living Show (April 15-17).
