bees neonics and policyThe Graduate Environmental Students’ Association and the School of the Environment at the University of Toronto are hosting a panel discussion on bees, neonics, and policy this Thursday.  This is a great opportunity to learn more about the current scientific understanding of the bee population decline in Ontario and what the policy response should be. The evening’s panelists are:

  • Don McCabe, President of the Ontario Federation of Agriculture
  • Maria Trainer, Managing Director of Science and Regulatory Affairs, CropLife Canada
  • Julie White, Director of the Ontario Beekeepers’ Association, and
  • Sheila Colla, Liber Ero Fellow & Project Lead, Wildlife Preservation Canada

This informative discussion will be taking place at the George Ignatieff Theatre this Thursday, April 16 from 6:30pm to 8:30pm with light refreshments served at 6pm.
