Canadian actress Rachel McAdams has joined forces with Ontario farmers and leading chefs for the Food and Water First Campaign, which supports regulations for the protection of prime farmland in Ontario. The video highlights a series of key facts illustrating how important the agri-food sector is to Ontario. Some facts shared include:
- Agri-food contributes over $34 billion annually to Ontario’s economy
- The agri-food sector represents 11% of all employment in Ontario
- Ontario produces the widest range of crops in Canada
