Professor Brent McKnight of the DeGroote School of Business at McMaster University  is conducting research on how farmers overcome the challenges associated with transitioning from conventional to organic farming. He is seeking farmers to interview about their experiences in the transition from conventional farming to organic farming including “challenges such as those related to acquiring required knowledge, breaking and re-establishing networks, and the regulations that must be addressed.”

Interviews will be conducted between February 2013 and September 2013. Involvement consists of a single interview 60 to 90 minutes in length, in person or over the phone. The results of the study will be available to share in December 2013.

If you have questions about the study or would like to participate, please contact Brent McKnight at 905-525-9140 x24704 or by email at bmcknight@mcmaster.ca . For those interested in participating, please read the interview consent form available on McKnight’s website.
