The Nutrition Resource Centre is presenting its second “Nutrition-Pack Grand Rounds”, an online webinar on February 14, from 12 p.m. to 1 p.m.

NRC states: There is a need for developing the evidence-base for applied food literacy programming to reverse the erosion of food skills in Canada. The second round in NRC’s N-PACK Grand Rounds will include an update on the next phase of Health Canada’s Healthy Eating Awareness and Education Initiative, and two examples of research initiatives that have been used to develop local food skills programs in priority populations. Participants will gain:

  • the knowledge and tools to enhance existing food skills programs
  • an understanding of the process involved in developing evidence-informed food skills programs, and
  • a better understanding of factors influencing cooking practices in families and youth

Who should attend?
Dietitians, nutritionists, health promoters, public and community health professionals, policy makers, family health professionals, researchers, educators, and anyone else interested in food literacy programming.
