Community Food Centres Canada (CFCC) is seeking a Program Manager to be based in Toronto and a Community Gardens Coordinator in Perth.

Community Food Centres Canada is a new national organization founded to provide ideas, resources and a proven approach to partner organizations across Canada so they can establish responsive, financially stable Community Food Centres. These centres work to bring people together to grow, cook, share, and advocate for good food. They are in an exciting growth phase of their development, kickstarting new initiatives and building the internal and local capacity to ensure their stability and growth. They are looking for a highly motivated and effective person to join a tightly-knit, collaborative team as Program Manager. They need someone who is in equal part excited by the big picture vision of what CFCC is doing and by the details of what is required to make it happen — an idealist and a pragmatist. This person will be responsible for liaising with partner Community Food Centre projects, and will act as a lynchpin for the flow of information and resources between the sites and CFCC. The successful candidate will be hardworking, diplomatic, organized, analytical and strategic, and will have a solid background in food issues and project management.

The Community Gardens Coordinator will be located in Perth, Ontario at The Table Community Food Centre. The Centre offers food access through the food bank and community meals, cooking, gardening and advocacy programs. These programs aim to improve access to healthy food in a way that maintains dignity, builds community and challenges inequality. Candidates must share a deep commitment to progressive community development, food security and social justice.
