“How do we create acarbon-reduced, resilient, sustainable food systems?  What will those local food systems look like?”

These are the questions being addressed by the Sustainable Food Systems (SFS) Project, an action-research project from the London Training Centre and the Southwest Economic Alliance.

Having recently completed 18 months of research, which involved hosting “interactive conversation sessions” and conducting interviews around southwestern Ontario, they have released a series of 60 + recommendations concerning the transformation of southern Ontario’s food system. Central to these recommendations is an innovative “cluster framework”  and a “smart food distribution system”.

Read more about it in this Executive Summary or check out the SFS Project website to learn more & to watch their video.
