The Broader Public Sector Investment Fund: Promoting Ontario Food puts public service at the forefront of change by encouraging the establishment of new food service models that adapt to Ontario’s desire for fresh and healthy meals that reduce their environmental impact and are prepared with local ingredients. The goal of the program is to increase the volume of Ontario food purchased by public institution food service operations by supporting organizations building knowledge of the particular challenges and opportunities faced by members of the broader sector value chain.
The program is being administered by The Greenbelt Fund with funding provided by The Ontario Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rival Affairs, and concludes February 15, 2013.
