Yesterday, as part of the Metcalf Foundation’s 50th Anniversary, over 200 people came together from across the GTA and golden horseshoe to explore solutions for a better food system.  At 10: 30 am, 12 buses departed from Lawrence Heights Community Centre to explore themes such as world crops, growing new farmers, rebuilding the middle (distribution and processing of local food), community food programs and much more!  Check out the first blog by Orla Hagerty that describes her experience of the Introduction and Alternatives to Supply Management tour: Farmers Feed Cities (and Make Music?)

Stay tuned for all of the beautiful photos and videos of the day!  In the meantime, please pledge to Vote ON Food and Farming at: voteonfood.ca and sign up for Bring Food Home.
