The dilemmas and victories of alternative food distribution in Ontario

Sustain Ontario, in partnership with the Ontario Culinary Tourism Association, is pleased to release a new report on local food distribution in Ontario. At the 2010 OCTA Summit, participants identified distribution as the key barrier to growing local food economies and culinary tourism across the province. This report gives a broad overview of the local food distribution sector in Ontario and offers five case studies of initiatives bringing local food to local tables. Download the report and read about Eat Local Sudbury, 100 Mile Market, Wendy’s Mobile Market, the Ottawa Valley Food Co-op, and the Elmira Produce Auction.
