There’s a new kind of environmentalist these days thanks to ALUS (Alternative Land Use Services). Through this program, farmers receive payments to enhance natural spaces, restore wetlands and protect wildlife habitat. From the west coast to the east coast, ALUS is gaining momentum. Bryan Gilvesy, from Y U Ranch in Norfolk County explains some of the benefits.
