Green Care Farms is hosting an upcoming event, Empowering Activities for Older Adults Living with Dementia, on Saturday, April 11, in Guelph.

Green Care Farms is a social enterprise, providing an outdoor day program that empowers people with dementia to remain active and live a life filled with purpose. Members spend the day in a sensory garden, engaged in meaningful activities that have a horticultural focus.

This year they are celebrating their 5th year in operation, and the event on April 11th will host a community presentation about the farm, which is Canada’s first care farm for people with dementia, their day program, and updates on their new learning platform to support others interested in starting a care farm in their community.

  • When: Saturday, April 11th @ 10 – 11:30 a.m.
  • Where: 42 Carden Street, Guelph ON (10C Shared Space, 4th floor)
