The Ontario Farmland Trust is hosting a Lunch, Learn and Take Action event on the Impacts of the New Proposed Provincial Planning Statement on Wednesday, May 17, at 12 noon ET.

Attendees will hear from Dr. Wayne Caldwell, Professor in Rural Planning and Development at the University of Guelph, and Dr. Pam Duesling, General Manager of Development Services in the County of Brant. Margaret Walton, Ontario Farmland Trust Board Member and a Senior Associate in the planning firm Planscape, will be hosting the discussion.

The event will explore the changes proposed in the new Provincial Planning Statement, particularly around proposals to change the severance policy, the potential impacts of these changes to Ontario’s agricultural sector and rural communities, and how to take action.
