The COVID-19 pandemic has raised some big questions about our food system – from our dependence on seasonal workers, to restrictions on farmers’ markets, to food access for vulnerable people.

How do we produce more food locally? How do we make healthy food available to everyone? How do we protect ourselves against the next shocks like climate change?

On Wednesday, May 13, at 7 p.m., a webinar hosted by the Green Party of Ontario will explore these questions, Rethinking Food Security After COVID-19, with panelists:

  • Joshna Maharaj, author of Take Back the Tray
  • Brent Preston, founder of Farmers for Climate Solutions
  • Wayne Roberts, former Chair of the Toronto Food Policy Council
  • Allison Robertson, Executive Director of the Ontario Fruit and Vegetable Growers Association
  • Ralph Martin, author of Food Security: From Excess to Enough

Register here for the webinar, and submit your question for the panelists here.
