The Government of Ontario is seeking innovative solutions to engage elementary and secondary students via remote learning while schools are closed. If you, your business or organization are interested, visit the province’s website here.
The province explains on the submission form that they are seeking a wide range of solutions to enable successful learning opportunities for students during school closures, including:
- free or low-cost learning resources and supports for students, parents and educators
- access to devices such as computers, tablets and portable wifi hotspots
- other ideas, goods or services to support mental health and students with special education needs
Proposal summaries must include: an explanation of the proposed idea, product or service; information about how the proposal will help fight COVID-19 in Ontario; references to relevant examples from Ontario or other jurisdictions (if applicable); the suggested contractual arrangement with government and procurement model to deliver this proposal; and any potential risks.
Remote learning, and the need for at-home resources, is clearly on the rise right now. For anyone seeking out educational activities, check out our Food Initiatives Greenhouse, where many different groups and organizations have shared a myriad of resources.
