Local Food Marketing Workshop in Wellington County

Taste Real, in partnership with Foodlink Waterloo Region, is inviting farm and food businesses to join them for a two-part Local Food Marketing Workshop on Monday, February 11, at the Wellington County Museum and Archives.
The first part of the day will look at Optimizing your Direct Farm Marketing Sales with Jessica Kelly, Direct Farm Marketing Specialist, OMAFRA:
- Opportunities and Realities of Value-Added, On-Farm Sales and Experiences
- Manage the customer experience: signage, displays, pricing
- Discussion Groups
Then following a networking lunch with regional local food updates, the second half of the day will explore Sharpening your Digital Marketing Skills with Charlotte Moore, Tourism Digital Marketing Specialist:
- Cost effective Social Media Marketing for farm and food businesses
(content creation, audience, paid promotions, trends, digital hygiene) - Find the right digital channels for your business
- Identify your brand and hone your digital storytelling skills
- Hands-on Social Media Sessions based on skill level—bring your own device!
A half-day ticket (for the morning or afternoon) is $25. The full day, which includes lunch, is $45.
