What is the Canadian Nutrition Society?
It was formed by a merger of the Canadian Society for Clinical Nutrition and the Canadian Society for Nutritional Sciences. This became operational on January 1, 2010! They are the leading Canadian society that integrates disciplines and professions interested in nutrition such as nutrition scientists, professionals, healthcare/clinical practitioners, government and policy makers, industry representatives ( food developers, processors, manufacturers, distributors) and future leaders! There membership is close to 1000 professionals across Canada the US and the globe!
The CNS promotes and enhances excellence in nutrition science and practice. They also provide quality education and professional development initiatives, advocate for the importance of nutrition research funding and best practice and policies for the promotion of health and the prevention of treatment of disease.
The CNS is hosting a Thematic Conference: Advances in Sport Nutrition: From Daily Living to High Performance Sport!

It will offer delegates an opportunity to listen, learn, network and engage with some of our leading experts on nutrition as it relates across the spectrum of daily physical activity to high performance sport.
