Community Food Centres Canada (CFCC) is hosting an exciting event on Wednesday, October 11, at The Great Hall in Toronto, The Pleasure and Politics of Food: A conversation with Mark Bittman, the renowned best-selling author and food activist.
“Food plays a huge and fundamental role in our lives. It’s what connects us to each other, and it’s at the centre of many of society’s most pressing issues, from income and health to climate change and land rights,” the CFCC Facebook event page reads.
“Few know more about the politics and pleasure of food than journalist and advocate Mark Bittman. The bestselling author of more than 20 food and cooking books is one of North America’s most well-respected voices on the many facets of the food file, from how to bake a perfect loaf of bread to how our food policies impact our health and the health of our planet.”
The evening will see a wide-ranging conversation between Bitmann and Ann Hui, National Food Reporter from the Globe and Mail.
