Community Curb Appeal: Food Truck Workshop

How can we make a more “food truck friendly” Ontario? The Ontario Culinary Tourism Alliance (OCTA), a Sustain Ontario Member, is partnering with the Economic Developers Council of Ontario (EDCO) to host a workshop on September 4th in Hamilton to discuss the role of a thriving food truck scene as an economic driver and tourism attraction.
The half day session will include a Best Practices panel, case studies from Calgary and Hamilton, and a keynote address from Suresh Doss (Food Truck Eats, Zagat Toronto), as well as a food truck lunch featuring some of Hamilton’s favourite trucks.

With support for the movement growing (and our first Feast ON food truck freshly certified), bringing together municipalities, tourism organizations and food truck operators will be crucial to understanding the existing road blocks and establishing a “food truck friendly” Ontario.
