The Black Food Sovereignty Alliance invites you to the 2026 Black Food Sovereignty Conference, taking place at Toronto Metropolitan University on August 28–30, 2026.

The three day conference is dedicated to advancing and celebrating Black food systems, and building a more just and sustainable future.

Attendees will experience:

Interactive workshops
Inspiring speakers and panel discussions
Meaningful networking opportunities
The return of our Black Farmers Tour, where you’ll visit Black-led farms, connect directly with growers, and witness Black food sovereignty in action.

Whether you’re a farmer, grower, educator, researcher, entrepreneur, policymaker, student, or community member, this conference is a space to learn, collaborate, and help shape the future of Black food sovereignty.
